Micah McKenzie, 13 years old, passed away suddenly after a tragic accident on April 11, 2018. He was born on February 10, 2005 in Lodi to Lisa and Edward (Sean) McKenzie.
From the time Micah was a baby, he had a smile and laugh that would brighten any room. He was funny, witty and loved telling jokes, and breaking out into impromptu song and dance. He was generous and willing to help anyone who needed it. Micah touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with.
Micah loved animals, especially his dogs Charlie and Max, whom he would walk all the time with his mom. He also enjoyed playing video games, watching YouTube, reading, skateboarding, camping, swimming and listening to music. He also loved volunteering with his mom at the Woodbridge Wilderness area.
He is survived by his parents, Lisa and Edward (Sean) McKenzie; brother, Liam McKenzie, sister and brother-in-law, Kyrsten and Nick Nikzat, grandparents, Ramona Hixson, Bill McKenzie, Cheryel Mertz and Jerry Pokert; aunt and uncles, Deanne and Brian Craig, Chad Hixson, James and Danielle Pokert, Seth and Samantha McKenzie, Jamie McKenzie and Billy McKenzie; cousins, Dylan, Jakob, Connor, Kristina, Junior, River and Bonnibelle; and niece, Amira. He is also survived by his many friends who had become like family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at Lodi Lake Park Hughes Beach Area.
